Bianca Marroquin's upcoming album

Recording continued today with Dennis DelGaudio and Tom Gallaher for Bianca Marroquin's album while Marroquin is in Chicago playing "Roxie Hart" for the Broadway show "Chicago."

Marroquin received an amazing reivew from Chicago Tribune this week by columnist Chris Jones quoting "Marroquin, a well-known name among fans of Spanish language soap operas, is not only gorgeous, in the age-defying way long associated with the performers of the musical "Chicago," a showcase sans pareil for the hyper-toned human body in motion. She is also a fantastic comedian and vulnerable to boot. I've seen 3,212 Roxies (or thereabouts) in my time, shimmying their sweet way from Las Vegas to hell and back. I've heard a few with bigger voices, certainly, but have never experienced one with more charm or spontaneity. Marroquin really is something and, should you be in the category of a devoted "Chicago" fan worried about whether the current tour will spoil or enhance your glorious memories, the chance to see her work should be enough to motivate you to take one more trip to the land of the razzle-dazzle."

BIANCA WANTS TO DANCE WITH SOMEBODY

On a cold Friday afternoon in New York City, Bianca Marroquin was busy in the studio recording three tracks--notably Whitney Houston's 1987 number one hit "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" with a totally different approach produced by DNA (Dennis DelGaudio & Ayhan Sahin.)

Recently, Marroquin showcased the song at the 2013 finale of the hit Univision reality dance show "Mira Quien Baila"  with the top 5 contestants from show.

This new version has its rock edge in a faster tempo that differentiates itself from its original 80s vibe.

Stay tuned!

"You Blow Me Away" recorded by Bianca Marroquin

Today, Bianca Marroquin recorded a DelGaudio/Sahin/Jill Gioia composition "You Blow Me Away" for her upcoming album.

The midtempo rock tune showcases Marroquin's strong, versatile voice over rock guitars and piano a la Meat Loaf/Jim Steinman style.

BIANCA MARROQUIN WARMS UP FOR CARLYLE CAFE

Friday night at the legendary Cafe Carlyle in Manhattan, Bianca Marroquin was invited to stage to sing with Ryan Silverman--Marroquin's co-star from Broadway's longest running American musical "Chicago." The duet did a unique take on the Spanish classic "Besame Mucho."

Silverman is currently appearing at the Cafe Carlyle, singing a rich and diverse variety of standards from Cole Porter to Amy Winehouse with a fantastic three piece band. And starting in April, Marroquin is booked for four consecutive Wednesdays to bring her presence to the Carlyle stage which hosts New York's elite cabaret acts.

Her repertoire will mostly include American and Spanish standards as well as excerpts from her upcoming album with Young Pals Music.

Don't miss her in April!
